Convention Breakfast Conversation

Breakfast at convention was a hit. We will continue to schedule deacon breakfast as a way to support deacons, improve communications and build up relationships.
Deacon would like to honor those who have passed at our Renewal of Vows service. The council also felt it appropriate to purchase a book commemorating their service to the diaconate in CT.

Church By The Pond - Bushnell Park Hartford, CT

An Ecclesia Ministry based on Boston's "Common Cathedral" model, we don't wait for people to find us. Instead, we set up our altar in a highly visible public setting. Our mission is to bring the good news of Jesus Christ’s love and salvation to the all people.

Our celebrants are Episcopal and Lutheran clergy from the greater Hartford area. They preach and share the Eucharist with those who come together for worship. Our lay ministers are from the community that gathers to worship and they help set up the altar, offer prayers and assist with the distribution of communion. Our deacon is the Rev. Donald D. Richey who was appointed by the Rt. Rev. Laura Ahrens to serve at Church by the Pond.

We believe that God loves and created all people. Therefore, we are all God's children and greet each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.

The Rev. Don Richey is deacon for Church by the Pond. He serves at nearly all services and welcomes any question you may have.
